This Privacy Policy explains how AM Creative Coach LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use the Alberto application and related services (the “Service”).
The Service is available on iOS, Android, macOS, and the web (albertoapp.com), with additional platforms planned for future releases.
This Privacy Policy applies regardless of how you access the Service.
By using Alberto, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
A. Account Information
- Name
- Email address
- Login credentials
- Subscription status
B. Resume & Career Data (User Content)
- Resume text and formatted versions
- Employment history (employer, role, dates, location, descriptions, bullets)
- Job descriptions and job tracking data
- Education history and certifications (including GPA)
- Skills and expertise
- STAR Stories (Situation, Task, Action, Result narratives)
- Journal entries (Mindset Reflections, Career Wins, Career Development)
- Career assessment results (38 career behaviors)
- Course progress and exercise completions
- Testimonials and social proof
- Notes you enter into the app
C. AI Interaction Data
- Prompts submitted to AI tools (resume text, career questions, STAR stories)
- AI-generated outputs (headlines, summaries, bullets, testimonials, reviews)
- Resume review inputs and feedback
- Spellcheck and proofreading requests
D. Technical & Usage Data
- Device type and operating system
- IP address
- Browser type (for web)
- App version
- Usage activity and feature engagement
- Crash reports
E. Landing Page Chat Assistant Data
- Chat messages are processed by OpenAI to generate responses
- Messages are stored temporarily in your browser’s localStorage only — not on our servers
- Chat history can be cleared at any time using the “Clear Chat” button
- No account or login is required to use the chat assistant
F. Lead Capture Data
If you voluntarily provide contact information through the Alberto chat assistant:
- First name, last name, email address, LinkedIn URL (optional)
- This information is emailed to our team for the purpose of connecting you with a Career Specialist
- It is not stored in any database beyond the email system
G. Chrome Extension Data
The Alberto Job Import Chrome Extension:
- Reads job listing data (title, company, location, salary, URL) from supported websites (LinkedIn, Indeed) only when you click the extension icon
- Does not track browsing activity
- Does not collect personal information
- Does not store any data locally or remotely
H. Payment Data
Stripe (Web): Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details. Stripe Privacy Policy
App Store / Google Play: Payment data is processed by the platform provider. We do not store full credit card numbers.
I. Cookie & Local Storage Data
On our web application, we use:
- Essential cookies/storage: Required for authentication, security, and app functionality
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how you use Alberto (only with your consent)
You can manage your cookie preferences via the cookie consent banner or in Settings > Privacy & Data > Cookie Preferences.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Generate AI outputs (resume content, coaching insights, proofreading)
- Store and organize resume and job tracking data
- Improve product features and performance
- Monitor system performance and stability
- Process subscriptions and billing
- Communicate product updates or support responses
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
A. Firebase (Google)
We use Firebase for authentication, database storage, cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and security monitoring. Google Privacy Policy
B. OpenAI (AI Processing)
We use OpenAI to power AI features including resume review, resume writing, headline generation, bullet point generation, testimonial creation, job description analysis, skill recommendations, proofreading, and career coaching responses. When you use AI features, relevant text inputs may be transmitted to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI Privacy Policy
C. RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions across iOS and Android. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
D. Stripe (Web Payment Processing)
Web subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe Privacy Policy
E. Acuity Scheduling (Squarespace)
We use Acuity Scheduling for Dream coaching session booking. Your name, email, and session data may be shared. Squarespace Privacy Policy
F. Zoom Video Communications
Coaching sessions are conducted via Zoom. Sessions may be recorded with consent. Zoom Privacy Policy
G. Mailerlite (Newsletter)
If you opt in to our newsletter, your email is managed by Mailerlite. Mailerlite Privacy Policy
H. Google Drive (Resume Export)
If you choose to export your resume to Google Docs, you will be asked to sign in with your Google account and grant permission to upload files to your Google Drive. We only access the drive.file scope (files created by Alberto). We do not access or read any other files in your Drive.
I. Platform Providers
Apple App Store, Google Play, and Microsoft Store may collect and process personal data independently according to their own privacy policies.
4. AI Data Processing Disclosure
When you use AI features:
- Your inputs may be transmitted to AI service providers to generate responses
- AI outputs are generated algorithmically and may not always be accurate
- AI providers may temporarily retain data for processing according to their policies
You should avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information including Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, medical records, or government identification numbers.
We cannot guarantee that third-party AI systems permanently delete all submitted prompts.
5. Data Retention
- As long as your account remains active
- As necessary to provide the Service
- As required for legal or regulatory compliance
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a commercially reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information:
- Encryption in Transit: All data is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Encryption at Rest: All data stored in Firebase/Google Cloud is encrypted using AES-256
- Authentication Security: Passwords are cryptographically hashed and never stored in plain text
- Access Controls: Server-side rules ensure users can only access their own data
No system is completely secure. Transmission of data is at your own risk.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:
- Access to your personal data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of personal data (account deletion available in Settings)
- Data portability (export all your data as JSON in Settings > Privacy & Data)
- Objection to certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., cookie preferences, newsletter)

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect
- Request deletion of personal information
- Opt out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal data)
- Use the “Do Not Sell My Data” toggle in Settings > Privacy & Data
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
9. International Users (GDPR & UK GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom:
- Legal basis for processing: Contractual necessity, legitimate interests, legal compliance, and consent (where required)
- Data transfers: Your data is processed and stored in the United States using Google Cloud/Firebase infrastructure. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and Google’s Data Processing Agreement for lawful international transfers
- Data portability: You can export all your data at any time via Settings > Privacy & Data > Export My Data
- Right to erasure: You can delete your account and all associated data via Settings > Account
- Cookie consent: We obtain explicit consent before setting non-essential cookies on our web application
- You may lodge complaints with your local data protection authority
10. Children’s Privacy
Alberto is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete it.
11. Coaching Session & Scheduling Data
If you are a Dream plan subscriber, Alberto allows you to book coaching sessions through the app.
- Acuity Scheduling: Booking data (name, email, session time) is shared with Acuity/Squarespace
- Zoom: Sessions are conducted via Zoom and may be recorded with consent
- Intake Form: Career-related information you provide is stored in your Alberto account and shared with your coach
- Calendar Export: Calendar files (.ics) are generated locally; we do not store your calendar data
12. Community & User-Generated Content
Alberto includes public comment features on course lessons. When you post a comment:
- Your display name and comment text are visible to all enrolled users
- Comments are stored in our database and associated with your user ID
- Comments are filtered for inappropriate content
- We reserve the right to remove any comment that violates our Community Guidelines
Community profile data (display name, industry, experience level) is visible to other users and can be updated in Settings.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If material changes are made, we may notify users through the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
